How we verify

Every profile on this site shows the date it was last checked. Here is what each badge means, how we check, and the rules we never break.

What each badge means

  • Verified

A person confirmed the startup is real and its details are right. That happens in one of four ways: our team checked it, the founder proved they run it, we checked company documents (SECP or NTN), or the founder confirmed a work email at the startup’s own web address. Always shown with a date.

  • Checked on a date

Every profile shows when it was last checked or confirmed. A check stays fresh for 90 days. After that the profile says “Needs a re-check” until someone checks it again.

  • Confirmed by the owner

The founder told us the details are still right, from their dashboard or the reminder email we send before a check goes stale.

  • Pro and Ultimate members

The founder pays for a plan with more reach and tools. It isn’t a sign of quality, and it doesn’t make a listing verified.

  • Operator’s company

A company run by the people who operate this site. We label it everywhere it appears and keep it out of the Featured row.

  • Services & SMEs

Agencies, shops and small businesses. They are welcome here, in their own section, so the startup directory stays a directory of startups.

What a check looks at

  1. The website or app works, and the startup is still operating.
  2. It is a startup building something new, not a shop or a service business (those go to Services & SMEs).
  3. It is based in Pakistan or building for Pakistan.
  4. The founder is a real person we can reach, by email, phone or in person.
  5. The description, stage, city and links match what we can see.

Rules we never break

  • Verification is never for sale. No plan, package or sponsor can buy the Verified badge.
  • Paid placements always carry a label.
  • Our own companies are labelled and kept out of Featured.
  • Every funding round we publish links to where the news came from.
  • Anyone can report a mistake, and we review every report.
